Wind farms and birds share the same sky and wind currents to move and operate. Occasionally this leads either to collisions and loss of avian lives or WTG shutdown and loss of efficiency for operators. We at Volacom believe both risks can be mitigated through the use of novice, highly efficient and accurate bird control solutions, overcoming the shortfalls of existing products and measures.

We have invented, designed, and produced a bird detection and deterrence technology piece that will keep birds away from WTGs without causing them any harm or stress, thus minimizing the need for shutdowns, 24/7, in all weather conditions. Detailed data logs and video recordings will help ornithological teams in further analysis and reporting.
